BORDA conducts a program for decentralized wastewater treatment plants in India in cooperation with local Partners. To ensure the quality of the products BORDA is aiming for a comprehensive certification system for

• the quality management system of their partners,
• the wastewater treatment plants (product label)
• the key people working with their partners.

AMC has supported BORDA to develop a basic quality management system for their partners based on procedures, work instructions, form sheets, recording and evaluation, corrective action, and preventive action.

AMC has supported BORDA to develop a basic quality management system for their partners based on procedures, work instructions, form sheets, recording and evaluation, corrective action, and preventive action.
Criteria for the installation have been developed for the product label and competencies for the key personal. Criteria have been established for verifying implementation including auditing of the management system and installations.

ERM supports water management in Bangalore and Karnataka on behalf of GTZ. AMC provided expertise for assessment of need for:
Training and certification body for water, wastewater, and waste operator
Organizational Development (Capacity Development) for the organization(s) mentioned above regarding wastewater, water and waste management training and certification to cooperate with the organization for capacity development.
Industrial wastewater: identification of training and consultancy needs for operation & maintenance of ETP’s for selected industrial sectors
Cleaner Production: supporting selected industries in implementation of CP options

Design of Wastewater Treatment Plant

A wastewater treatment plant has been designed based on thorough analytical evaluation and treatability tests. The treatment plant had to deal with different kind of wastes as with high organic load, oil and grease, ion exchange backwash water, Laundry, and domestic waste. Training has been provided during commissioning to ensure proper operation & maintenance in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
